Pyramids
The theory of Bosnian Pyramids assumes that the Visocica hill and two nearby hills around Visoko in Bosnia and Herzegovina are actually a giant pyramid built by human hands within a period of between 12 000 and 500 BC. Its author is an amateur archaeologist Semir Osmanagic. Scientific facts, and authentic archaeological and geological studies suggest that the hill was only formed with geological mechanisms.
213 meters high Visocica hill, where once stood the old town Visoko, is approximately the shape of a pyramid. Osmanagic's excavations have revealed geological structure, which he says is a paved front plane of the tunnels, as well as stone blocks and ancient concrete for which it is assumed that once covered the building.
Old Town Visoko
is a famous medieval castle and fortress, which was created during the 14th century on the hill Visocica. At its foot, and also the foot of Visocica is today the city of Visoko. The first mention of the Old Town Visoko happened on 1 September 1355, in the charter of the young ban Tvrtka I Kotromanić it was called "castro and to high vocatum", which means that during the reign of his predecessor Ban Stjepan II Kotromanić, in the first half of 14 . century, it was already built or it already existed. He also served as the seat of the high feudal with the title of Grand Prince of Bosnia. With the Ottoman conquest of Bosnia the town was abandoned before 1503 because it was not mentioned in the Turkish-Hungarian Treaty of that year. In 1626 Djordjic mentioned Visoko among deserted cities. Today's Old City Visoko is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
